Our Mission:

The FBC New Mom's Ministry seeks to enable, empower, and equip new mothers with tools for successful parenting
through the Word of God, Christian values, and godly example; as well as through peer-to-peer guidance, mentoring,
and fellowship.

 

Our Vision:

The FBC New Mom's Ministry will be the model for an effective, efficient, and enduring ministry that enables women to
be the mothers that God designed for them to be.

 

Fundamental Scripture:
"And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy
children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest
down, and when thou risest up.  And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between
thine eyes.  And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates."  Deut. 6:6-9

Meeting Dates / Times:

  • Monthly - 3rd Saturday
  • 1:00pm to 2:30pm
  • You will receive the location when you RSVP.                                                                                                                                        

Features:

·         Meet once a month (in- home or group outing)

·         Monthly topics will vary. Facilitated by group member, Deaconess, or guest speaker

·         In-home host could provide meal / light refreshments (or group could do a potluck)

·         Member website- spiritual inspiration, new mom tips, information, recipes, announcements,
           healthy living tips, etc.
·         Quarterly newsletter - spiritual inspiration, new mom tips, information, recipes, announcements,
           healthy living tips, etc.

 

 

Benefits of Membership:

·         Each mom will receive an in-home visit from a member of the ministry after birth of child

·         Each newborn mom will receive a "welcome baby" gift and devotional guide

·         Each newborn mom will receive for her & her immediate family 1 week of prepared meals/dinners

·         Baby's Closet - New / gently used (cleaned) clothes from member's children

·         Member Quarterly e-newsletter

·         Access to Mommy's Room during church services

·         Mothers and Children can be apart of the newsletter and website by submitting pictures.

·         Mothers and babies will interact with peer-to-peer counsel and playtime.

·         Annual 'Mom's Day / Night Out' event

 

 

Membership Eligibility:

  • Expecting mothers
  • Mothers of newborns to 36 months
  • Open to members and non-members of FBC of Sterling
