Lighthouse Ministry

"And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."  Matthew 25:40
Bishop Patterson and Dr. Francene Patterson have a mission for the Lighthouse Ministry "Save Souls" and to offer restoration to the Homeless and Families that are less fortunate in the community, by establishing Christian mission outreach initiative that provides Food, Housing, Clothing and Visitation to those in need.
The Lighthouse Ministry seeks to become a Premier Full-Service Christian Community provider to the Homeless and people living in poverty, instilling the following values to those who are served
 Biblical Teachings & Principles
• Economic Empowerment
• Self Sufficiency
• Rehabilitation
The ministry is able to accomplish its goals through direct services, and by leveraging the skills, talents, and resources of other ministries
Key Initiatives
Bi-Annual Clothing Drive
The clothing drive is designed to provide assistance to those local and global that are in need of clothing.  The drive is set up whereby new or slightly worn clothing is collected, inspected and stored at First Baptist.  Once collected and inspected, approved clothing is sent to local and global organizations
Thanksgiving Baskets
The Thanksgiving basket program is designed to assist not only the homeless but those families who are not able to financially to provide a Thanksgiving meal to their family members.  Family's that are in need must apply for baskets or members of the church may recommend (nominate) some needy family to be recipients of the Thanksgiving baskets.
